London Music Tours 2027: Walking Tours & New Dates

London Music Tours 2027: New Tours, Classic Walks & The Full Schedule

Adam writes…

It’s the middle of September, and the London Music Tours 2027 schedule is taking a little longer than usual to put together this year.

That’s partly because there is rather a lot to fit in.

I’m incredibly proud of the breadth of London music walking tours I’ve developed over the years. I love hearing from you with requests, suggestions and ideas for new walks, and I work hard to introduce at least two new tours to the programme every year.

For a one-man business, that makes the scheduling process quite a juggling act!

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch asking when the new London Music Tours 2027 schedule will be available. It’s very reassuring to know that so many of you are keen to discover more of London’s extraordinary musical history.

Three New London Music Tours Coming in 2027

There are three brand-new music walking tours of London joining the programme in 2027:

Hits of the Blitz: Music, Theatre & How We Kept Smiling, 1939–45

A journey through the music, entertainment and theatre of wartime London — and the extraordinary role that popular culture played during the Blitz and the Second World War.

Maximum R&B: The Who in London

Follow The Who in London, from West London to Mayfair, exploring the places, people and musical history behind one of Britain’s most influential rock bands.

The Filth & The Fury: 50 Years of Punk in London

A journey into London punk history, marking 50 years of the movement that changed music, fashion, attitude and popular culture.

These three new tours make the 2027 programme bigger and more varied than ever.

But there is a small problem…

Making Room for the New Tours

With three new walks joining the programme, something has to give.

In 2027, three established favourites will be rested from the regular public schedule:

  • Rock’n’Roll Explorer Day: Barnes, Twickenham & Richmond
  • A History of Rock & Pop in London – the six-part series
  • Day Tripper – the full-day Beatles tour

That doesn’t mean these tours have disappeared.

All three will continue to be available as private London music tours, giving groups the opportunity to arrange them exclusively for themselves.

More Than 30 London Music Tours

Over the last 21 years, I’ve developed a repertoire of more than 30 different musical walking tours.

That means that whether your passion is The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, punk, rock’n’roll, classical music, musical theatre or London’s wider cultural history, there is a tour to explore.

More London Music Tours Are Coming

I’m still juggling dates for the new tours, so the 2027 London Music Tours schedule is not quite finished yet.

More dates and more tours will be added as the programme develops.

And that is part of the fun of running London Music Tours.

After more than two decades of researching, developing and leading music tours in London, I still find new stories, new connections and new reasons to explore the city.

London’s musical history is enormous.

There are the obvious stories — The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd and punk — but there are also hundreds of less familiar stories hiding in London’s streets.

That is what London Music Tours is all about: getting out into the city and discovering them.

Whether you want a Beatles walking tour of London, a rock’n’roll tour of Soho and Chelsea, a tour devoted to The Who, Bob Dylan or The Kinks, or a broader exploration of London’s extraordinary musical history, there is a musical walk waiting for you.

The 2027 schedule is developing now. Check back regularly for new dates — and if there is a particular London music tour you’d like to take, get in touch.
